Tusen takk til Otra IL for at vi i Vindbjart ski kunne få bruke de fantastiske løypene på Høgås nå som snøen er borte fra Sandrip!
Denne lørdagen ble en fantastisk skifest på Høgås! 170 løpere stilte til start i denne morsomme stafettmixen som gikk i fristil. Alle løperne gikk to etapper hver, de yngste 2 x 500 meter hver, 11- og 12-åringene gikk 2 x 1000 meter hver mens løperne f.o.m 13 år gikk 2 x 1500 meter hver. Dette skirennet er en skikkelig mix: Noen lag var rene jente- eller guttelag, mens andre lag var en blanding i både alder og kjønn. Det var ingenting å si på innsatsen til løperne som ga alt på etappene sine. Det var spennende og til tider ganske hektisk i vekslingsområdet ikke minst da dette var nytt for ganske mange, spesielt de yngste.
Det var ikke bare løperne som ga alt: Også heiagjengen rundt løypene var med på å lage god stemning. Og når sola også skinte og det var helt vindstille, kunne det ikke bli bedre! Under premieutdelingen ble det også delt ut en spontan publikumspris til de som skapte mest liv og leven rundt løypene: Gjengen fra Rygene IL.
Takk til alle løperne som kom fra både fjern og nær: Eiken, Otra, Froland, Imås, Oddersjaa, Fløy, Rygene, Øvrebø, Gjerstad, Torridal og Vindbjart ski. En stor takk også til alle de voksne i Vindbjart ski (både foreldre og besteforeldre – og ikke minst medhjelpere som ikke har barn som er aktive i klubben) som jobbet iherdig for at alt skulle fungere best mulig. Det er ikke få oppgaver som skal dekkes så vi er veldig takknemlig for å ha en så flott og arbeidsom gjeng i klubben vår!
